Active and Fulfilling Life on the Waterfront at Traditions at Solana

It’s not that Solana residents don’t make time for rest and relaxation; there are just so many things they find to be interesting, inspiring, and worthy of their time, especially when they live on the waterfront at Solana.

One of our residents still runs half marathons and just completed the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, with staff and residents cheering him on. We’ve toured newsrooms (a resident’s daughter is a local meteorologist), explored the Canal, and raised money for the American Heart Association and the Abbye Bryce Hunt Home Hospice Center.

Closer to home, our residents lead Bible study, organize Mexican Train Dominoes, watch Colts games together, and gather for coffee and current events in the lobby daily. We also rally around each other when someone is under the weather or needs a friend. We even have a resident Pastor who lives with us and leads Sunday services.

When one of our current residents decided her husband needed Memory Care, she moved into our community to be close to him. It means a lot to them—and us—that they are together.

Megan Clark, our Memory Care Director, heads up the Connections group to support families and loved ones of our assisted living and memory care residents. She organizes speakers and makes resources and support readily available.

While activities and support are ready when you are, we also make time and space for rest and relaxation. We encourage connection because we know how good it is for our health and happiness, but we leave it up to our residents to decide when to join.

We want you to know you are welcome at Traditions at Solana anytime and we hope you’ll join us for a meal, activity or tour. Please call us at (317) 860-0000 or visit www.TraditionsatSolana.com to find more or the answers you’re looking for. We would love to meet you.
